Instead of building a heavy wood tank I went ahead and bought the T8 with sliding doors. A lock. And the fluorescent light box.

Does anyone know how long it takes to deliver?

And is it just me or is it odd that the heat tape is meant for the center only. I know you can buy a divider but still haha.

And can I use my Uth still under the new tank and it heat it to the desired temp or no?

Hi! I just bought from the same place about a month ago (July 17th) and they said my T3 (with the same modifications) wouldn't arrive until mid to late September. So I'm guessing about two months is the wait period? The T8 is supposed to be a quick ship item, so I wouldn't think it would take that long, but I could be wrong. This will be my first tank from them so I don't know much in the way of heating, but I have heard that UTH's are fine with them? You should definitely email the company your questions, though. They reply quickly and are very helpful!

UTH work nicely with them. I use flexwatt on mine. I have a couple racks from them and a T25. Their tanks look and work awesome. I don't know if your size cage is a "quick ship" item, but if it has to be made, I've always received mine 8-10 weeks after ordering because they're made to order. The wait time should be in your confirmation email. If you have any questions, just give them a call. Ali is seriously one of the nicest people I've ever talked to. Their customer service is one of the best in the industry, IMO.

You made a great choice in getting that terrarium! I have 3 different Animal Plastics terrariums and each is amazing.

T8s are a quick ship items so you should get yours within a couple of weeks. You can always email AP and Ali will usually reply the same day.

I personally use a RHP (radient heat panel) for ambient heat and heat tape for a hot spot.

I recently got my first PVC cage, AP T10 and I'm loving it. Great with temps and humidity. I run both flex watt and a RHP off a herpstat 2. Keep our home cool year round. Thought the T8 came ready for stat probe on the right side bottom of cage. The T10 was set up that way.
