Looking for Source in DC Area
Hey gang...I need to find a regular source for live rat pinks in the DC area...preferably in the Fairfax County area, but I'm willing to drive if necessary. I've got a baby ball that is refusing all attempts at frozen/thawed and she can't go much longer without eating. :( All I've found anywhere around me (and via google searches) is big chain pet stores and they won't sell baby rats. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Jon! That's a bit of a hike, but if that's what it takes, I'll definitely consider it. Do you breed your own?

Have you asked on VAHerps.com for private suppliers in northern VA?
I shouldn't have to resort to ASF...she's taken rat pinks quite eagerly in the past, I just haven't found any here and have been trying F/T since I got here. I'll check with VAHerps, too.

Where in Lorton are they delivering too? That looks like a reasonable drive from here, so long as I time it carefully. LOL I did find a pet store listed in Woodbridge that seems to have feeder rodents.

Sorry...... had to.
LOL...Can you ship me some live baby rats? :P Seriously though, I did feed her before I left TX, but we'd already been battling over the f/t thing. I gave in and got her live feeders and she ate them immediately. Then we moved and I haven't found any since, and she continues to turn her nose up at f/t. If she were more mature, I'd just wait her out, but she's just a baby. :(

An aquarium shop in Lorton called G&G aquatics (kinda near Ft. Belvoir, I usually knock out my commissary shopping on the way, lol). Traffic on 95 usually isn't bad when they deliver there (usually around 10am), but if for some reason it is you can also take route 1 instead.

That looks promising. I actually live right off of Telegraph road, so I'd probably avoid 95 altogether anyhow. Would I be buying feeders from G&G or directly from Hampton Feeders? Do you meet them there to get your order or something?
