Good ambient temp for snake room?

Hi folks!
I'm getting my snake room setup and wanted to check with you guys on proper ambient temps to heat the room to before I move the snakes in. I just purchased a ranco wired thermostat and this heater. I have everything setup and it's been running for the last two days. The thermostat seems to be keeping the temperature within 1 degree of its set point without any noticeable swings. I must say I'm really impressed with the ranco's accuracy.

I currently set the temp on 78 f, but wanted to know if you think I should bump it up to 80, or if it should be lower.

I'd also like to know your opinions on the lowest I should set it (i.e. in winter months).

Other than BPs, the other snake species I have are boas, Kenyan sand boas, and a western hognose. I believe all of these guys have similar low ambient temp needs, so hopefully I can find a temp that all will be comfortable at.

My oil filled heater is set at 77 and I have found that works very well for me and my collection.

Mine is anywhere between 76 to 86 depending on the time of the year. I try to make it as energy efficient as possible. During the winter I have a oil filled heater, during the summer I the ac vents are blocked and I do not provide a hot spot.

I keep mine between 78 and 80.
Thinking about going to 85 and dropping all other heating.

Thanks so much for your replies guys! I think I may keep it at 78 and see how things go for now. In the winter, I may drop it to 76. I am not sure how well the room will hold temps yet (it is on the lowest level of the house), so I may have to make adjustments.

I kept mine at 74 last winter and 77 now, but I had Brazilian Rainbow Boas that needed to be cooled for breeding. I'm giving my female this year off though, so will probably just keep it at 77.

I keep the thermostat on my oil filled radiator set at 78. This time of year (in AZ), our AC is set at 80 so the radiator doesn't do much.

Thanks again for the input guys! I'm still new to this heated room concept, so I'm checking in on the heater about 10x a day just to make sure there are no malfunctions. Hopefully I"m just paranoid, as things seem to be going fine.

Do it, do it, do it, insert some crowd chanting.... room heat is the way to go if you have more than a few snakes.

You should be concerned with inside tub temps,not room temps.;)
