my bp tank smells

my tank smells like sh** and so does the repti bark so i want to switch it and i still have some eco earth left over from my frog tank tank i didn't use so can i use that or newspaper thanbks for the help ~dan~

I've never used eco earth, don't know. I'd reccomend newspaper. So easy to clean = no smell!

Use the newspaper, it's easy to clean up.

newspaper, just replace weekly. no weird stuff growing in your substrate. it doesn't look as pleasing to the eye but it is sanitary for your snake. they make craft paper or idented paper ( i think) that is different colors ( sold at craft stores). i like the free newspaper myself!

Good point, I'd say absolutely.

If your bp has had a couple of bowel movements and you have only done spot cleaning, its probably time for a complete cleaning. I'm with everyone else on the newspaper as well. Its great!
