Leopard gecko breeding

if I kept a male & female leopard gecko together in the same tank, they would only be able to breed if I give them a cooling off period, right? Or will she constantly lay eggs??
Im just asking because I may want I breed them once or twice, but no more than that.

No they will breed, cooling is actually not necessary.

Once they successfully mate the female can start laying eggs and do so for the all season even if you remove the male depending on the size and age of the female it can go from a few to up to 10 clutches. (They lay two eggs at the time)

In other words if you keep male and female together make sure that the female is ready to avoid your female being egg bound.

So is there any way I can avoid them to breed other than separation? I don't have the space....

Nope there's no way to stop a male and female that are housed together from breeding
