    New cage build
Hey all, i figure I should post a topic on the build for the cage that I should be starting tomorrow morning. The last one I built was 4 feet by 2.5 feet by 1.5 feet high. I used melamine 3/4" wood and it was heavy as hell and ran me close to 100 dollars for all the supplies. I was thinking about just using 1/2 plywood and coat it with a non toxic waterproof layer. It would probably save me a few dollars in price and not be so damn heavy. I had the sides and roof wood and the front plexi on tracks so I will probably keep that same style. And had vents on the sides that were rectangle (ones for a/c) 4 feet is big for a baby I know so I will probably put a divider half way through and open up the other half when she's of size.

Opinions are always nice! I should be picking up the stuff tonight when I'm off work or tomorrow morning.

Hope to keep you all entertained with my build [emoji16]

I don't know very much about materials but that sounds awesome!! Do keep us posted with photos, if you can :)
    Please!

$100 might sound like a lot, but if you think about it, to buy a pre-made PVC vive of the same size would cost you around $250. So it's probably still very much worth it!

Use expanded pvc so much lighter! 4' x 8' sheet is $125 but its much easier to work with than melamine.

Subscribed. I have a 75 gallon tank currently divided with lexan so I can house two snakes. Once they get bigger I'll be looking for ideas to expand and building a tank may be the way to go.
