Does a killer bee clear shed??
Every thing is in the title : I hatched a killerbee last year that was looking better than its father so i kept him and sold daddy. This monster is already 1.1kg at ten month age and bred during the four last month. He is from a killerbee to a pastel clutch. From this clutch i kept him and is sister superpastel which shed normally but he sheds clear, zero patterns. He doesn t have the hypo looking, neither the bold looking.

Is that common to every killerbee or may he carry something ??? He was bred to mom and she is late building now but she looks like a brown out pastel, really nothing special in her phenotype.

I had similar 'hypo' thoughts with my KillerBee a couple of years ago, because i also thought he was shedding 'clear'

Put the shed against a white background, and you'll see a very feint pattern
you might struggle to see it at first, but it's there

Spider combos shed nearly clear because the only thing that shows up is the black. On a killer, the black is faded AND reduced so it is really hard to see sometimes.

Yeah same with our killer bee. Gotta look closely at that shed!
