    First Ever Clutch!
I finally hatched my first ever clutch. It wasn't the greatest clutch (only two eggs) but it was exciting anyway! The paring was a Lemonblast Female to Firefly male and a Pastel Calico male. I can't really tell which was the Sire because I hit the long 1 in 16 odds to get a normal :) and what looks to be a Lemonblast. Opinions on the Lemonblast hatchling as to if there might be some other gene present would be appreciated.

Well congrats on your first clutch! It was an awesome pairing and it's always a very rewarding feeling when they crawl out

Congrats on your first clutch!! The babies are beautiful :D I'm not sure if the lemon blast has anything else going on but it's a pretty one [emoji4]

I like both of them. Congrats. The lemon blast looks right but to make sure it wouldn't hurt to post pictures as he/she gets a bit bigger or after the shed for a more descriptive answer. That male Pastel Calico is crazy! Lots of white.

Quick question. When you breed two males. Do you get a chance of some hatchlings being fathered by one male and the other by the other male? Sorry if it's a dumb question.

I think that is extremely rare but I haven't talked to any one directly that's had it happened. I have heard of a female giving birth to an offspring from a male that was bred to her the previous year as well as from a male the following season. I think that it happens but its rare. I'm sure some one on this forum has had it happen or knows more though.

Normally when 2 or more males are bred to a female it's usually to increase the chances of fertility not in hopes to get babies from each sire so it's not something that happens often enough for people to plan on it or expect it. Retained sperm happens but not often. Best answer I could give: it happens but it's a gamble.

Ok I understand now. I thought it was a tactic used to breed multiple males to one female for better chances of hitting better gene combos. Thanks!

The head looks really pale. Could it be a super blast or a fire blast?
