Normal + ?

I have a big old normal male, and I'd like to find a breeder female to put to him. I'm not thinking of ever breeding big time. What could I use with him that would make nice babies? While I like color, I'm finding that my attention is being drawn to more graphic balls of black, gray, brown, white. Is there anything that would move in that direction in the first generation, or do I have to go 2 generations at least?

He's at least 18. That isn't too old, is it?

If I were to match him with something dominant, say Enchi, then half would be normals and half Enchi, right?

A normal will not get you genetically farther than anything you have currently. So as far as generations, you are already costing a generation using a normal.
