    UTH hot spots
When I set a couple of my UTH tstats to 90, there are places along the heat tape or heat pad that are in the 92 to 93 range when I check it with the IR thermometer. It's not where the warm hide is, but I don't really want to possibly injure my snakes. Am I over thinking this or should I be adjusting for the weird hot spots along the heat tape?

    You are good there.
You adjust the thermostat so that no surface area the snake can touch is over 95 degrees.
You are checking inside the tub correct?

Yes. I slowly scan all over anywhere the UTH touches to make sure there aren't any really big spikes.
