Re: New small rack system
When I first started collecting ball pythons, before I built my rack system, I had radiant heat panels screwed into the lids of two cages and a zoo-med UTH under the third. The most important aspect of this setup were the thermostats. As long as they are regulated and you check them frequently with a secondary measurement device such as a temp gun or a digital thermometer, I don't think you should have a problem doing it this way. A regulated heat source should never get hot enough to cause damage to a tub, particularly because the snake will suffer damage from the heat before the tub will.
Re: New small rack system
Most use heat tape for their racks, but a UTH would work as well.
With the thermostat controlling the heat, your tub will not melt. Most thermostats can be set at around 90-92 to reach the ideal hot spot in the tub, and that's not hot enough to melt the plastic.

Right! I actually rather to use UTH just because i think they are less of a problem to install since i will have only two tubs.
thank you for your response! If there is any other advice please let me know anything!!!
thank you again!

Its the same, but much more expensive
You can get it pre made from Repstile Basics, or The Bean farm, theyll wire it up and have ti ready to plug in... much cheaper then the $39 exo terra pads.
