I know there are a few hockey fans on here and I just wanted to take time to share the sorrow we all feel today as the current CBA expires and the owners have locked out the players and the 2004-2005 season is now on hold  No NHL for God knows how long!

And Congrats to Canada in their World Cup victory!

I hope the strike doesn't last to long w/ all that free time not atttending games I will buy herps and I haven't that much room :)

I'm not a major fan of hockey, but i hate to see it go away. I just hope this will not be the death nail for the NHL all together.

The NHL locked out the players due to a lack of a new contract with the Players Union. Basically, they couldnt come to an agreement on money matters. So unless things get fixed quickly, there will probably be no NHL season this year.

    Guard up!
Man I was just really getting into hockey too... my buddies and I bought season tickets to the Predators (I WISH I could get Blackhawks season tickets but that is a heck of a commute from school). It really is a miserable situation because hockey was really starting to gain some new fans again. And we all know what happened after the baseball strike. Hopefully they will get their heads about them and we can see some checks again. Until then you will find me at my college hockey club games and also at the Chicago Wolves games when I can... I love Wolves hockey anyways... meat on the ice :)

Hey Chris Chelios of the Redwings may be playing for the Wolves.

Oh just in case my last post raised any questions - The Predators are doing it like this - for season ticket holders they go by a game to game basis.. meaning that each day that passes that should have been a game day they refund that money. So if the season ends up happening (FINGERS CROSSED!) nights that games happen you get no refund but you get to go to the game! :)

    Woo Hoo
Yes the Caps are giving all seasonticket holders 3% interest on there money they have paid for this year and will hold your ticket price the same even if there is no hockey until next year.
    I just want hockey, that's all :)

( nice to see ya around Jonah)
