Leopard geckos in 20 gallon long
Okay, I'm still new to geckos and I am still doing my research.
How many leopard geckos in a 20 gallon long? I've heard mixed answers on this like: only 1, can keep 4 females, and a few other things. I was hoping for at least 2 because I'm going to make a fairly complex setup. Would I be able to put 1 male and 1 female in as babies and let them grow up? Or just 2 females.
thanks!

A 20gal long is perfect for 2 leopard geckos

And actually if you're less worried about looks a 41qt tub with a heat pad and a thermostat will work amazing too. A note though. I don't believe you can tell sex at a young age, someone correct me if I'm wrong, so be prepared to have to separate them if they happen to be 2 males because they can fight

Personally, I wouldn't house more than one leopard gecko together in any sized enclosure. You run the chance of bullying and injury. Just not worth the risk, I would think. :colbert:
I have seen some people keep females together relatively well (or so it seemed). Two males or a male/female pair is an absolute no...

I used to keep a male and female together in a 20g long. They ended up breeding and the girl lost the tip of her tail. Only reason to keep a male and female together is if your breeding
