I never see my snake drinking water. Once in a while, he lays around in his water dish. I have yet to see anything that I can identify as pee (whitish chunks of stuff, right?). Any insight?

    Thanks

To see a snake drink is indeed rare. I have caught my guy twice but I've had him for about ten months now. They usually only drink at night in total privacy. Soaking may be because humidity may be low, or you have a water loving snake. What are your temps and humidity at? Usually they expel urine with their feces and this is about monthly depending on the age and sepcies of the snake (I speak from BP experience)

I usually can catch mine going for a sip soon after they chow down (and the bloods just hop all in lol) - rarely catch them at ather times.

the only time i have ever seen nellie drink was right after i bought her a new dish and put it in the tank with her. she found it and drank like she had never before been offered water or something. and then she peed every single day for a week. :?

Well my Monty Joe must have a drinking problem. I have seen him drink more than a dozen times since I have had him. (11 months) But Cheetah who I have had for about 5 months I have yet to see him drink.

It is very rare to see them drink! The only way I was able to capture Goblin drinking was through the magic of nightvision cameras. But he is also dipping his tail into the water, which gives more evidence to my theory that Bps have a tiny hole at their tail tip, and suck water through that rather than drink orally. :headbang:
