    Confused!! Please Help?!?!
I have had Minho (my ball python) for almost a month and a half now and he had just finished shedding about a week ago. Before then he was fine and seemed completely fine with me touching and holding him but afterwards.... Now he seems like he's scared of me..... Whenever I even put my hand up to his cage he jerks away. Also when I touch him or hold him he breaths very hard and tries to get away..... He eats fine but also doesn't seem to come out of his cave too much anymore either.... I don't understand what happened..... He was perfectly fine before.... Please help!!!!!! And if anyone needs anymore details just ask......

    Thankyou.....

It sounds like a snake being a snake to me. An eating, hiding ball python is a perfectly fine and happy ball python. I don't see any reason for concern.

I sometimes think right after shedding, their skin gets overly sensitive for a day or two. I have no reason to believe that's true besides observation of my whole 4 snakes but it seems to be a thing.

Has he been fed since he shed? Many snakes come out of shed quite hungry.

Also I absolutely agree in regards to skin sensitivity post shed. This is often the case with most snakes.

My kingsnake JUST shed, so I took him out for pictures.

I have never been bitten more times in a row by ANY animal. He's usually pretty sweet (for a king) but. Yeah, not tonight.

At least for a day after shedding the skin seems sensitive. After that hold like normal. If necessary, go thru reintroing yourself to the snake
