I think something may be wrong?

So I've had my BP for about 4 years. For being 4 years old she's a runt(not worried about her not being big cause I have a 6 foot RTB). Only about 2 and a half feet long and about as thick as the opening of the gatorade(weird comparison but couldn't think of anything else). I've never had problems feeding her back in November she was on about a two month fast but since then has ate fine(small rats). So my question is about a month ago she threw up a few days after I fed her. She hadn't been handled at all just heard an odd sound and saw her puke it up. Half digested I just figured it was because out in here southern Cali weather has been fluctuating from mid 70s to high 90s and it could've thrown her off. But about a week ago she had the weirdest diarrhea. Her whole body began to coil up then shed lurch really hard to try and push it all out. I'm already in the plans of going to a vet just wondered if anyone's experienced this before? Any help is appreciated!!!

I do use a low watt lamp, but as me and my wife both work I leave at 8 in the morning and not usually home til 1130 at night there's no one home in between to help regulate the heat. I've been looking into heat tape so I can set the temp and not worry as much but I feel with the heat lamp on and it reach 90 in the house alone the temperature may be rising too much. But no signs of anything from my RTB and they're tanks are in the same room.

You can use any sort of under tank heater with a thermostat. UTH costs 20-30.00 and a thermostat about 30 if you go with hydrofoam. If her temperatures aren't up, that is almost certainly the source of your issue. They NEED temps between mid-80s and 90 to digest. Otherwise, the food just rots in their stomach.

Warmer ambient temperatures CAN work, but if it's getting as low as the 70s, then you've got a problem!

Warm side of her tank is between 87-90 at least when I'm home during the cooler times of the day. So I imagine when I'm not home and it's hotter outside her tank gets warmer then that. So I'm worried about it being TOO hot in her tank.

That's also possible, and yeah not something a T-stat will help with. If you don't have central air, I'd be getting creative with cooling that tank down. Maybe freeze some bottles of water and set them OUTSIDE the tank but against one end or something, though from my understanding overheating mostly causes neurological problems.

Either way, I'm glad you're seeing a vet.

Damn you 50's housing!!! We have an AC that sits in the window, ran for a total of maybe 20 hours this month... $600 electric bill so that won't be happening anymore.

Then a tip for you and your snake. Red-neck AC.

Freeze 2 liters bottles of water. Set BEHIND a box fan. The fan will pull the cold air from the frozen water bottle and blow it out. Set bottle on a towel because condensation will form on the outside of teh bottle and make a mess otherwise.

But it works REALLY well for knocking the edge off the heat ina room and if you're directly in front of it, it's downright nippy.

If your tank has a screen lid. A few icecubes placed on the top of the screen can do wonders in regards to slowly cooling down a tank. Just compensate with your humidity.

And in regards to the fan thing above. That works great. You can also wet a hand towel and place it directly over the fan. The air will blow through the damp towel cooling the air.
