Temperature and Humidity in a Tub
I just got a baby BP about 2 days ago. I'm keeping him in a 10 gallon Sterilite tub and I'm using undertank heating. The temperature on the cold side is about 75 degrees and the humidity is about 60. I've read that both of those are a bit low and I was wondering how to raise the heat and humidity. Also, when should I attempt to feed him? He seems fairly stressed and I think he's getting ready to shed. He was supposed to eat on the day that I got him but I had read to give it a couple days before I do anything with him. I was just wanting some advice, this is my first snake and I just want to do everything right.
Re: Temperature and Humidity in a Tub
The cool side is effected by the ambient temperature of your house. How big is he? You might also try using a smaller tub to retain more heat and make him feel more secure.

I'd recommend not using the stick on hydrometer/thermometer. They are very inaccurate so your probably getting some readings that are off. I'd recommend getting an accurite thermometer/hygrometer. It measures temps on the warm/cool side and has a built in humidity gauge. I think they are only about $5-$7. They work great [emoji4] also are you regulating your heat source with a thermostat. You definitely need one of those to keep your little one from getting burned. It will also help you keep temps consistent.

Oh I forgot to tell you where you can get the Accurite. You can get them at Walmart or order them online [emoji4]
