No heating pad.

Hello, I was concerned about if my ball python would be able to live, digest and be happy in its habitat. Seeing as I can't find a place where they sell reptile supplies like a heating pad and a thermostat anywhere near me. I have it in a box with a big bowl of water and a substrate. It's a 1 meter long plastic tub x 50 cm wide.
If I were to order from amazon, id either have to get it 2 weeks later or they would not even deliver outside the US. I've also tried looking for a heat lamp as a replacement but I couldn't find any anywhere either.

IF your ambient temperatures are warm enough you may be okay (mid 80s or so).

Otherwise, you're going to have to find somewhere online, order it and use it. You're also, if you go heat pad instead of heat lamp, going to need to get a thermostat to plug it in to.

Where do you live? Maybe someone on here that's around your area could point you in the right direction for supplies.

I personally would not risk it. Get a UTH (or the equivalent) shipped to you along with a thermostat. Other things handy to have: a temperature gun, or a thermometer like the Acurite indoor/outdoor ones.

You need a hygrometer to measure humidity so your animals don't get an infection. Plastic tubs with lids can get really humid and almost up to 100 percent. Keeping the tubs at an ambient of 80-90 isnt hard and some big breeders actually don't use belly heat. I prefer belly heat just because that is what I learned first and it's easy to get my 41qts at 90 on one side in a hot spot and 80 on the cool side without affecting the over all temp too much. But I can't stress over humidity enough with tubs. I've got holes all over the place on the lids and it still hold humidity a bit too well. You can order the equipment from online for really cheap and unless you want a 90 dollar vet visit where they tell you to buy the stuff anyway then I recommend spending the 11 dollars on amazon or where ever.
