    Heating , Flex-Watt Accurite question
    Hi,

I have a 15qt tub set up with dimmer, 4" flex-watt taped to the bottom, the Accurite outdoor probe on the tub floor(hot side, under the hide) under the newspaper. The probe reads 94-96 degrees F however when I place my hand on the newspaper it is barley warm, the flex-watt also seems only warm to the touch.

Is this normal? I would think 96F would feel "hot".. I am going to get a temp gun to make sure but until then wondering if I should put the heat up a little more.

    Thanks.

Well, considering that the human body runs at 98.6 degress, anything in the low 90s probably wouldn't feel especially hot. You can always get another thermometer or a temp gun for a second reading!
