Any Red Tail Boa Breeders in Michigan?
I'm looking to get my first red tail (hopefully columbian red tail) soon and I'm checking around to see if I can find any well known rtb breeders. I would prefer if they were in Michigan so I could pick one up myself, but if not is there any that isn't crazy expensive with shipping?

All depends on the breeder and the quality, I think the normal rtb start around $50 not sure though.
I know it's cheaper than petstores though .

I am in Michigan. Unfortunately, I don't have any babies available right now. I may have a young adult or two I would part with though. If you'd like to talk, shoot me a pm. Where in MI are you located?

I'm from Hemlock, about a half hour from Saginaw. Thanks Evenstar but for my first boa I would just prefer a baby so I can watch how it changes as it gets bigger. I think I'll check the Taylor show.

Wow!! I am in Midland! I'm only about a 1/2 hour from you. ;)

I know the feeling of wanting to watch a baby grow. I prefer to buy mine as babies too, even when that means it'll take several years for them to be part of my breeding program. If you go to Taylor, be careful whom you buy from.....

There are some iffy characters at Taylor. Just look over any snake you're interested VERY carefully. TALK to the breeder and make sure he/she can tell you all about the baby. In addition to morph, the person should know lineage, complete genetics, and feeding response for every snake they are selling. If you get "uh I don't really know how he's feeding, I'm selling this for a friend...." walk away.
