hey guys i was wondering how easy are bloods to breed. they are fastly becoming my favorite species of snake and i want to know some breeding info because a few years down the road here i would love to breed my blood. i currently have a malaysian male and i would like to acquire a female from NERD. also how big is the market for these things? i know there is so many boa breeders it is insane but what about bloods?

bloods are medium difficulty in breeding. In October stop all feeding. around the 15th make daytime temperatures 80-83 and nitime around 73-75 and 8 hour days. have this done gradually over a week. leave it like this misting once every 2 days until mid january. bring temps back to normal and after a week try offering food. after the female sheds place the male in her cage. leave them together for about 3 weeks then put him back. she should be gravid. led her incubate her own eggs they come out better that way.

What about actually observing breeding behavior, follicle development, ovulation & ovoposition? Sorry - "she should be gravid" doesn't cut it.
