New BP owner, just a quick question
Admin, I apologize if I am posting in wrong area.

Ok, so I am Dylan. I recently purchased a baby ball python, perhaps 4 days ago. I havent been handling him just yet. I want him to acclimate to his new home, however I haven't seen him exploring at all, just stays in his cozy corner. I understand the process can take awhile, but the lack of exploration slightly worries me. cause for concern?

Nope. A hiding BP is a happy BP. My guys come out and 'cruise' when they're hungry. Otherwise, they move basically to get from warm hide to cool hide and that's the extent of it. Make sure you've got two identical hides, one on each end of the temp gradient, but otherwise - hiding's just what they do.

Like CptJack says that sounds normal and he's probably settling in. Mine explores when he's hungry and ate two days after moving into his new home. Some seem to like getting out more than others. Mine is very interested in me when I come home but others I have seen are more content in their favorite spots

Normal behavior. When I got my BP, I was playing the "overbearing parent role" and constantly checking on him, but he never went anywhere! The answers above are correct. A hiding Ball is a healthy ball. Mines only moves around when he wants to go from one end to the other to thermoregulate, or when he's hungry. That's about it. They're quite reclusive little ones.

I'd worry more if I saw my Ball out and about for long periods of times during the day! You're in the green as far as it looks. :)

Normal, hope you have a hide in that cozy corner.
