Repackaging Frozen Rats for individual meals
i recently received my first order of small, medium and large rats from Big Cheese Rodent. Any recommendations for storing the rats as individual meals. I've thought about wrapping each rat in household plastic wrap and then in a freezer bag. Will exposure to air damage the freshness and or quality of the rat for later feeding.
Thanks,
SB

I weigh each one, put it in a snack size zipper with the weight wrote on the bag. Then I put them in a large freezer bag with the weight range on the freezer bag. I feed from smallest rat to largest.
Call it extreme, but that's the way I do it. I never have a problem with any of mine.

When i order mines 100-200 rats, I get bags of 5-10 (each bag)
From rat pups to Med rats(1-2 per bag for these) But i just leave them until i need them and when thawing i individually wrap them in paper towel because i found there nails kept poking hole in bag and getting them wet... So that has helped me aswell helps warm them up quicker for w.e reason.

I like your paper towel solution. They do poke the bag from time to time causing them to get wet. I will be adding this process to my procedure!
