    Day 46
My 8 egg clutch is on day 46. They are starting to dimple pretty badly especially the egg that is sitting on top of the clutch (I tried like crazy to get this one off but it was stuck to the top of 5 other eggs). The egg tub also began to gather a lot of condensate yesterday. I am super worried about that top egg and really want to cut it. What day do the eggs usually start to separate on their own? What day would you cut the very dehydrated egg? Sorry no pictures:) Thermostat was set to 89.

My eggs were in a pile too, and the top egg was already dimpled from a drop in humidity about two weeks into incubation. The whole clutch started dimpling at around day 40-42 and by day 56, when the first one pipped (not the one in the top egg), the top egg was very dimpled... much more than the others. It looked about halfway collapsed. I cut it after the first pip and the hatchling came out fine on day 59. This was all at 87.5 so yours might come out a bit earlier.

Day 45 it is very common for all of the eggs to start dimpling badly. I wouldn't worry too much about it. More important is that the condensation doesn't start soaking the eggs. As long as the condensation is on the sides and not the lid you should be good.

Just leave it - it should be OK. Do not cut a dimpled egg - the shell is the only thing holding the moisture in and bacteria/fungus out!
