    Calico
Another snake pic for questioning. 1) Is this a calico 2) If it's a calico then why no white in the sides and more goldish coloration? Luckily I am heading to a breeders place tomorrow to check out what he's got. I'm really hoping he has a Mojave since I know people love those right now lol but personally I want a spider which he thinks he has but it might have another gene in it?... I'm hoping my keen eye (posting every single question on here) will be able to tell though :/http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file.../1/calico1.jpg

Calicos can be anywhere from high white to no white just like pieds. Colors and pattern look like a calico to me. Here is a clutch of low white sugars I produced earlier. Very low white, but very different from their two normal clutch mates.

That looks like a very young calico to me. Young calico's don't have white sides, the sides are pink. You can clearly see the pink on the sides and near the belly. As he grows and sheds a few times, the pink will turn white.

    Best wishes in your search.

Ok so first the calico gene only shows after a few sheds. Where the snake is pink right now will turn white.
Second... how should I put this... why on earth would you buy any morph from someone if they don't even know what they have? I mean seriously he thinks he has a spider but it might have another gene in it? Yea huge red flag.

I agree that's a little strange for a breeder to say but he seems reputable and his fauna boi is really good with great feedback. He's less than 5 minutes from my house and I think he's giving me a good deal on that snake. I'll at least check out his snakes, I don't have to buy. I am still learning hence the calico question and thank you for that information on the morph.
