Aradia does not like the water!
So i tried getting a little tub with some warm water for a nice pre shed soak, just for a little extra moisture. At first she wasnt really sure what to do, then she was like NOPE! She crawled streight out and up my arm haha i tried to show her it was ok by holding her while she was in the water and stroking her but she didnt want any part of it. Once she was in the warm towel she was happy though hehe
Id love to see some pics of bath time with your snakes! What does he or she think of it?

    maybe it was too hot.

it should be about the temperature of the water in the water bowl inside the enclosure. BPs are cold blooded, and liquid water can transport a lot of temperature in a short time, so water that feels warm to us might feel frighteningly hot for a BP.

try water at slightly above room temperature next time. generally BPs dont mind water, they are good at swimming and diving, but when the water feels warm to your touch, it will be much too hot for a BP.

good luck, tell us if it works with a colder temperature :)

A lot of people will argue that soaking prior to a shed will just make the shed worse. Something about washing away oils that are needed during the shed process. I've tried it long ago and it never seemed to help, so they may be on to something. However, upping the humidity by misting or having a humid hide does seem to help. I think it gives them the moisture without stripping away any oils...

    just my take...

I did not know that actually. I had always heard it was good. Thanks for your advice!
