Gotta Problem

As you guys already know, i got a beardie around a week ago.
Well knowing that i have to feed him crickets, is not a problem.... but some how the crickets are getting loose and im finding them ALL over the house. As much as i try to set the enclose for the crickets seal tight they are still getting out. And its really hard going to sleep knowing there's crickets crawling arounf EVERYWHERE lol, soo my question is, Is there anything other than crickets that could be fed to a bearded dragon. anything at all. This is really getting ridiculous.

How old is your baby? Crickets are the best for them until they are about 6 months old.

Ewwwww... What are you keeping the crickets in? I always kept mine in those plastic kritter keepers and only had escapees when I was trying to feed my geckos. I started feeding my leos mealies because crickets gross me out... I don't know if that works for beardies the same way though. I'm sure someone who knows something will chime in.

No mealies for beardies, since their high chitin levels can cause lethal impaction. Superworms, silk and wax worms are good. (Waxies as treats, as they are high in fat!)

Get a critter keeper. The one with the plastic tubes. That way you can just pull out a tub and drop some in. Works great. I have had mine for a few weeks with not a single escapee.

We use this at work and don't have problems with escapees. Also it is easier to just shake a couple of crickets out of the tubes then try to catch them with your hand.

I really dont know how they get out. I use something really similar to a criket keeper. But with out the tubes. I wasnt told how old she is. Appx Size is about 8-10 inches. Does ano one know how old that is, in comparision to length. Feeding super or silk worms would be ideal. considering that are escape artists. I cant find anything in my tank. its had a screen lid, with no spaces for them to get out, and i cant find any spaces in the little keeper.? Each cricket i i find is adding to my frustration. Im thrown a blank :|
