Delilah's first clutch!

Delilah was my very first snake (got her over 5 years ago), but just gave me her first clutch today! She's always been on the small side, due to her refusal to eat anything but live mice, so she barely even "made weight" at 5+ years old... she was right around 1500g before breeding season, and weighed a mere 1100-something after laying. She doesn't look too thin, though, as she's more small-framed than skinny.

Anyway, this appears to be my ONLY clutch for the season, and unfortunately it's nothing too fancy - she's a normal, and dad is a black pastel. Still exciting, of course, and all 7 eggs look terrific. I'm actually surprised she gave me such a big clutch, considering her small size! I also caught the laying process, and snapped a few pics before she hissed a "go away" warning. :P

Shes a gorgeous normal she kept herlight colors nicely. Good luuck with the eggs cant wait to see the babies

Thanks! I specifically chose her to pair with Dave, since I thought her colors/pattern would compliment his nicely. I'm excited to see the babies too, and will definitely post pics when they arrive... I hate the waiting (for incubation) part, lol. :oops:

Yeah, she is a special one! Not the nicest snake in my collection, but as the first she'll always have a special place in my heart. :)

Btw, she gobbled up two mice today! She looked pretty deflated, so I'm glad her appetite came back right away.

Well, this is actually my fifth season breeding - but so far I've only done "base" morphs, and was really hoping for a combo this year. I paired up my lesser & Mojave a handful of times, but unfortunately she never ovulated. Guess we'll try again next year!

These will be my first black pastels, though, so that will be fun regardless. And yes, ALL babies are precious... I don't do it for the money, anyway, considering I've spent WAY more than I've made over the years. ;)
