    problem eater
Ok so I have a male pied that has gone off eating for about 4 weeks or so and he has gone from 822 grams to about 771. I try to feed him F/T rats and all he seems to do is run away from them. He used to eat very good but now has no interest in them what so ever. This is not the first time he has gone off of eating either...he went off eating for about 2 month and then ate one weaned rat but now does not want to eat anymore. Does anyone know of any tips or tricks I can try bc the thing I want to do is force feed him bc I have never done it and I know that it is very stressful on the snake to do this. Any and all help is welcome at this point and time

There's no reason to force feed your snake. It's only been 4 weeks. One of mine hasn't ate I. 4 months. Try feeding live.

I have one that last ate on 12/7/13. He gets offered a live rat every week or so, same as always, doesn't want it. I've tried completely cleaning his tub, replacing his tub, moving him to a different tub... nada.

I figure he will eat when he gets hungry.
