    Maturity
I am getting a couple het pieds in a few months and I am wondering how long will it be for them to mature to breed? One male and one female. I'm thinking about finding a few other females if I can get them to size and maturity by next year.

Depends on how old they are now,
how they eat and lots of luck!
Males usually 1 year, females usually their third winter.

Thats like asking a math question What does X+1=??? If you give no information on X we cant give information

BUT to answer Rougly females take 2 years to mature, with males maturing around 1 year, (yes there can be earlier cases and Yes there can be later cases, i had a mojave at 6 months, and 350g give me a fertile clutch waiting for it to hatch)

Thank you both for responding. These will be hatched here in in 2 or 3 months. So I'm looking at 2.5-3 years on the female then. Looks like I better round up a female het that will be ready next year.

Ok thanks. I'd love to get a male fire and a female pastel get pied or something like that. Maybe a pair of yellow bellies a female pastel and a female fire. That might work for a few decent projects right?
