Help! New BP has mites and is in shed.
We haven't dealt with mites before, and I didn't know if her being in shed changes how to deal with them?
We don't have provent-a-mite onhand, so can you guys give us other options on how to get rid of them? She is in QT.

You can also put the snake in a sink with about an inch of warm water with a few drops of dish soap. The soap helps to suffocate the mites and makes them come off easily. Once they are all off then rinse the snake of and towel dry them. We have done this with our boa and she doesn't seem to mind it.

This doesn't stop the eggs, that are in enclosure, and just a very minor solution to kill the ones bugging the snake.
