What temps do you keep your ball python rooms with your racks in them at?

Depends which type of wracks, Fully enclosed PVC racks can be in little bit colder rooms, Vs Open Air wood/pvc/Ars style racks. I keep my snakes in a 77+/- room and have been fine (with open air) with a hot spot of 88.

With enclosed racks i was able to keep them in basement at 70-73ish in the basement with proper temps, But when switching to open air needed to give them a warmer ambient.

Depends on the time of the year.

76 during the winter this is achieve with a Oil filled heater, at that time I also provide a hot spot.

85 during the warm months, the room being right under the roof naturally gets to that temperature, during that time I do not provide any hot spot. (basically I run my snake room at no cost from May to September)

So it depends on what works best for you.

Is 75-80 good ambient temperature for a bp? My room is under the roof aswell and it can get well into the high 80's (with no a/c). With a/c i maintain my room temp between 75-80 during the summer.

    Thanks

    I don't have a snake room! :tears:

Actually, I prefer mine out in the open so I can see them all the time ;) that being said... it's whatever room temp my house temp is! Summer is warmer of course, around 76-78F. Winter is around 73-75F. My snakes are in PVC, and the ball python gets two UTHes; luckily his ambients stay around 78-82F. :w00t:
