Can BP not eat even if it's not stressed?
I have a BP and she's not eating for 2 weeks which sounds OK to me. But just in case, I wanna know if BP doesn't eat even if it's not stressed..
Oh and Last week, I discovered a mite on her body :(. So I cleaned her and the cage throughly, removed the substrate and replaced it with newspaper. Is the mites still on her body? If it is, is this making her stressed a lot? Thanks~

What do you mean by "cleaned her"? Normally mites need to be treated with a product specifically designed to get rid of them...i.e. Provent-a-mite...

Hahaha... Omg what have I done... I 'washed' her for a few minute than left it alone in the bathtub for about 30 minutes for the mites to drown.. Is this terribly wrong? Also I replaced the newspaper with kitchen towel.. My Parent's are very extremely scared of snakes and I understand. So I planned to swap my BP Robin :(:tears: To a baby bearded dragon at the pet shop very soon. I just want Robin in a good condition.

That will not get rid of mites. There are lots of things that can stress out a ball pyton. Too much handling, putting them in a bathtub for 30 minutes, temp and humidity not correct, enclosure too big, etc. Not eating can be an indicator of stress. Just because you don't think that she is, doesn't mean she isn't.

Some people use PAM to treat mites. I prefer Nix. Some people are against that because its a product for humans. Just make sure you use something that kills eggs as well as the mites. If not the problem would return again if even 2 eggs got left behind.

You should make sure you let them know it has mites. Mites transfer super easily so any snake they have in the store will get them.

Oh ok. I'm getting a beardie but I want to know if it's safe to keep him/her in the same cage? Do mites infest the cage? Thanks.

Clean and disinfect the cage and it should b fine. Make sure you read about caring for a beardie. They are a lot more work than a ball python. Don't just go by what the people at the pet store say. Take their info in addition to what you find on the net. Sometimes the people at the stores don't know the proper care. Good luck! You will love a beardie!
