    Hello from Oklahoma~
Hello there, I'm Bearphomet. Like Baphomet, but a bear instead. I like bears.

    I'm 21, I don't have any snakes right now.
I used to have a corn snake named Shoelace, but I lost him in a "custody battle" when The Ex and I broke up like two years ago.

I'm a firm believer in doing research before owning an animal, so that's why I'm here. There's a few reptile expos in my area per year, the last one I went to I was expecting to see like, you know, maybe more than 3 different kinds of snakes.
But it wasn't. It was like, "Look at all these ball pythons. There's so many ball pythons. There are two corn snakes, they are not for sale. There's pictures of Kenyan sand boas hung up, but there are none actually here. Did I mention we got ball pythons?"
So why not get in to them, ya feel?

Aaanyway. BPs are pretty sweet, I like how many different colors there are. I want like 12 blue eye leucistics, but they are... not in my price range.
I'll probably get something not-very-fancy, and I'll probably get it in September if possible. We're going on vacation in August and I don't wanna leave a new snake at home for like a week without me being able to check it every day.

    So yeah, hi.

Howdy and from Oklahoma too! There's a reptile show happening around the time you want to get a snake, you won't find a better price there. It's the Oklahoma Reptile Elite Show.

    Welcome!

Balls are pretty easy. You can go simplistic or more lavish with their setuos and they don't care either way. Most expensive piece you'll wanna invest in beforehand is a quality Thermostat to run the heating element. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Welcome! This is a good place to learn. Ask whatever questions you have. And pics when you get one, are a must! :)
