    Shedding Question
Hey! So my first ball is undergoing her first shed with me and I want to make sure nothing's going wrong. A few days ago I started to notice her eyes become somewhat cloudy which marked the beginning of the process. Two or three nights later (last night), I heard her exploring the enclosure and bumping into stuff while I was trying to sleep. This morning, I awoke to her hygrometer being knocked down, and a few stray pieces of dead skin around the enclosure where I'm assuming she scraped them off while exploring. Is it normal for balls to scrape off some skin like that before the full shed, possibly during the blue eyes phase? I can't check her eyes because she's stuck in an incredibly small hide right now and I don't want to bother her during the shed. I've had the humiditu increased to 70-80 lately to aid the shed, and temps are fine.

When mine are in shed, "i have open air ARS rack" i dont get 70-80% humidity rooms sits around 55-65% i just mist them before bed/in morning and for the year and a bit i have never had 1 shed while owning this rack... its always helped me, and bumping is prolly him trying to peel off if its in peices, try this next time dont soak just mist him and keep humidity 55-65%+

I'm pretty sure your hygrometer is off.

    Use this to test: http://exoticpets.about.com/od/herpr...hygrometer.htm

If your humidity is high enough the shed will come off in 1 piece.
