how long w/o no heat

    how long will a ball python live with no heat becase i am going to go and pick up a snake and put it in my empty 10 gallon tank for like a week until the reptile show he is only a foot in lingth so how long and the drive is only like 20 to 25 minutes

    I wouldn't recommend no heat at all. find SOME form of heat. they are cold blooded.

    at wal-mart they have those "hot hands"...those could possibly work (someone correct me if they can be deadly..i havn't heard anything on them)
    only downfall i see on the hot hands is they last for about 5 or 6 hours. they're cheap tho. you can find them in sporting goods section... or just get a heat lamp and put it on top of the cage or somethin.....SOMETHIN...

    just go buy a human heat pad, itll run u 12 bucks. the drive will be fine rex went thru over an hr without heat before (vet trip) and he was fine. definatly use some sort of heat though. its just inhmane to keep them without heat

    You definitely need a heat source. A week w/o heat and your snake can get an RI or become seriously stressed out. Just pick up a heating pad from walmart. Make sure you create a little bit of space underneath the tank for the pad.

    Ugh! this guy is "experienced"?
    no not a week with out heating i have a 10 gallon and it has a small heat pad it was for my gecko but he dide so i am going to put him in there for a week but i have to pick up the snake at my friends house and it takes like 25 min from his house to mine so will he stay alive with out no heat for that long

    OHHHHHHH the snake should be ok. just be sure the tank is not in direct sunlight or you will bake him.

    Yes that's fine. Plus it's been so hot out. Like gozetec said, keep it out of direct sunlight.
