    Funny scales?
    My granite pinstripe just finished a good shed and I took her out to clean her tub and I noticed that she has some scales on her back that are paler than the rest of her, and very soft. They don't seem to bother her any, but I'm curious as to what's going on with them.

    This is the best shot I could get with her moving around so much but you can sort of see it to the right side of the photo, along her spine.

    It looks like the very top layer of the new scales came off with the shed. It happens fairly often and isn't really anything to worry about. :)
