    Thinking about getting into hognoses!
Like the title says! Lol (western hognoses specifically)
I've never kept colubrids before so I'm a noob. I've done basic research on them but still have some questions.

How big do males and females have to be to be considered "breeding size" ?

And how long on average does it take the males and females to get to breeding size?

What are your opinions on hogs? So far from what I can tell, I'll love them :P

I swear it's seemed like our hoggie hasn't grown in forever, but he has. I can't help with breeding size, but they are adorable and definitely have little personalities! They'll huff and puff and think they're all tough.

    Love them!

I cant tell ya the breeding stuff cause i dunno off the top of the head.

I know females get bigger than males.

Ive had mine for 5 days and she is a pretty funny snake.
Courious and friendly then if she gets spooked shes a hissy headbutter.

I was only planning on having one just for fun but i might get more at some point.

    Id get one dude

Breeding size-females 250 gram minimum with 300 gram the best and males 60 grams----ExtremeHogs.com

As far as growth rate i've had mine for 6 months from a baby till now 5 grams to 38 grams if that's any indication.

As far as opinion mine is the goofiest and neatest snake i own lol. My wife thinks he hates her though cause he starts his tough guy act every time she gets close
    :D

My good friend breeds them and he's the one that got me interested in them. Might get an albino boy and a het albino girl from him just to try my hand at breeding them.

My little man is a photographer. How's that for a personality!?

He seems a bit thin to me after a feeding strike. He'll get back on track.
