New incubator build

Just picked up this coke cooler from my brother. It will soon become my new incubator! My only concern is that it has sliding doors and they are on both the front and back

The sliding glass on both sides shouldn't be a problem as long as all the seals are still good. If you'd be concerned with that, find a sheet of insulation at your hardware store and cut a piece that's big enough to cover one of the doors on the inside. For the gap between the insulation and the door, just use some sort of waterproof caulk to further insulate and hold it in place.

fridge glass doors are made of two layers of glass, the empty space betwwen the glass is vacuum sealed. it's a good insulator by itself. sliding glass doors can actually be beneficial to keeping stable incubator temps, since you can slide it only a tiny bit if you want to tinker with the stuff inside.

I did think about placing a layer of insulation on the back glass. I thing though I may just clamp those doors shut. The seals seem to be good on both sides
