    Brumation for Cali King Snake
I'm considering getting a baby cali king. Do they need a brumation period or is that simply if you intend on breeding them?

Only if you want to breed them.

and if I don't want to now but decide to breed it later, would i then just give it the natural winter cycles and it would be ready for breeding or will it be permanently incapable if i don't start it out in regular brumation cycles?

You can start and stop just by keeping it warm or letting it cool. I've never had problems and I keep almost all my babies up until their second winter.

Awesome. Thank you! Now just having trouble deciding between the B/W banded or the reverse striped... both are so beautiful
