    How many females per male
So now that i have 28 snakes i am planning on bresding my own feeders. Not all eat rats but ibwant to try and switch them to rats some only eat live/pre killed so i dont want to switch them over to rats yet because i cant get them live at all stages locally question is how many would be good enough to feed all the snakes i have eventually. Also how many females to one male? Is the ratio the same for mice also?

Rule of thumb is for every snake you have, you should have a breeding female rat.

Number of male really depends on how you want to breed.
Do you want to do a scheduled breeding or permanent harem breed?
Scheduled breeding is just rotating the male every week or every other week through the females. Permanent harem breeding is leaving the male in with multiple females 24/7.

For scheduled breeding, you only need one or two males max. So like, 1.10 for example. I'm personally doing 1.20. I rotate my male to two females every 2 weeks and this gives me new litters every 2 weeks and gives me all sorts of sizes at a time. And it also lets me feed the same size weekly if I wanted. For example, my snakes are all eating small-medium rats. When I feed the two litter off, the next batch will be ready and the same size during my next feeding session.
For Harem breeding, you need a male for every tub of females you have. So like, 1.3 or 1.4 per tub.

Ratio is also same with mice.

Thanks for the info. Gets crazy going to the pet store every week for feeders. Dont really have freezer space to buy bulk frozen feeders
