Do Ball Pythons react to loud noises?
    Hello all!
I have a quick question for everybody. Just wondering if Ball Pythons get stressed when loud noises are present in their environment. I know that they can only feel vibrations, but I am not sure if they will get spooked from the amplitude of the Hz waves.

The reason why I am asking this is because I am a drummer. Unfortunately, the only room I have in my house for my snake's enclosure is the same room I practice my drumming. I have not touched the drums since I got my Ball Python because I am afraid it would stress her too much.

If anybody has any opinions on this matter, I would love to read them. Hopefully your suggestions will lead me to keep practicing because I am anxious to get behind the kit again:D!

    Yes.

I wouldn't recommend drumming in your snake room.

Not the noises, but the vibrations. Playing in the same room will definitely cause done extreme vibrations.

    Drums create some extreme vibrations.

    They can hear.

They do have inner ears and they can hear.

Big misconception is that snakes are "deaf"

All my reptiles react to loud noises, or the vibrations from them. At least until they get used to a particular noise. Dog barks no longer bother my ackies for example. Maybe consider putting the cage in a foam cooler during practice time, that would do a lot to help, although it would probably be a pain in the rear.
