issue with my spider mouth issue.
Anyone know what this might be? Before anyone gets upset, yes im taking her to the vet, but trying to get maybe an idea what it could be to help me stop or lessen my worry level. I am a responsible owner, and do breed balls, all my animals see vets if needed.
So, on this spider's background, her bottom jaw has been swolen for over a week. I check it daily but have been gone and unable to check and clean her mouth out in the last 4 days. I got home today and this piece was sticking out of her right lower jaw inside her mouth coming out the front, and she was rubbing her face against her hide. I picked her up opened her mouth and looked, I touched it and she tried to wipe against me and i pulled it out. pushing on the surounding gums she bled a little bit but then stretched her jaw like a classic snake "yawn" then she went to climbing me. She has been eating regularly too except for last feeding where struck, worked her way around the rat then dumped it. the item im holding is the item that came out of her gums, its hard, and in a baggy for the vet to look at. any ideas would be nice. She has struck out ever, I have owned her for 5 months and got her as a sub adult. she is on paper substrate (has been since I got her). I am taking her into the vets hopefully tuesday, but got to see if their herp vet is in on tuesday. I got photos of the item I pulled out. no matter what im told here, im still going to take her in to be on the safe side.

What substrate did the previous owner have her on? Could it be a piece of wood sliver that got in her mouth prior to you getting her and finally got infected?

When she yawned did her mouth look or did it look like there was more of that kind of crud in it?

not sure what the previous owner had her on, but I did receive her with mites. she is clear of them now. her mouth is still swollen up. lower then it was yesterday but not going away. I do have a vet visit for Friday, just wish I could get it earlier. she lets me open her mouth and there is no more puss or any thing else some discoloration on that side of the jaw where it came out of.

    Looks like regurgitated bone fragment?

Looks like a piece of cypress mulch with dried puss around it that could have been lodged in her jaw for a while causing a infection
