Are bps stupid enough to get themselves stuck in stuff?

So, here's the deal. My younger bp has a fake tree in his enclosure. It is hollow in the middle and has 4 opening for him to enter and exit from. He is in that tree, balled up and I do not know if he is stuck or if he just doesn't want to come out. So, here is my question, are bps stupid enough to get themselves stuck? If so, how do you get them out of that type of situation without hurting them?

Yes they are.
A reptilian brain is not terribly advanced and frankly more advanced animals do get themselves stuck in odd places.
The best option in my opinion is to not give the animal the option of getting stuck somewhere weird in the first place. i.e. remove the potential hazard.

Okay, but that doesn't really answer the question of how to fix it if he actually is stuck. I don't know that he's stuck, he just doesn't seem to want to come out. But if he is stuck, how do I get him out without hurting him?

That particular tree, if it's the one I'm thinking of, actually has caused stuck snakes before. Talk to B.H. Reptiles. I'm pretty sure that after she got her one snake out, she sealed up all the insides with hot glue and just used it as a perch after that.

I have a simple hide with just one hole and last night my snake came out, went back in doubling herself through the hole and if that's not bad enough, she stuck her head back out making it three passes at one time! I thought I was going to have to help her, but she made it! It's a heavy rock hide so it was not moving for her.

You should be fine just picking it up and helping him out.

Well, he got himself out after I put his food in his enclosure away from the tree. I guess he was just not in the mood to come out until food entered the picture. I took that tree out and will be replacing it with something else for him to climb on! Silly snake. Thanks for all the advice!

Yes they will definitely get stuck in things. I wish I would've know that a long time ago. One of my snakes still has a scar from getting stuck in a hide. I had to break him out of it because he was completely stuck and couldn't go forward or backward. Glad you got it out though. A stuck snake is a pretty horrible situation.
