    Super pastel almost ready
Finally, one of my females is close to breeding size! My super pastel. She's around 1300g. I'm going to keep putting more weight on her for late season or next season, but I am finally able to ponder who I'll pair her with. My only males right now are a pied, albino, and pastel. Thinking of getting a triple gene male or putting her to the pied for hets. What's your vote? Here are a couple pics. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/09/uga6ahe8.jpg

Personally, I would probably go the tripe gene male route. If you put her to the pied male, you'd know exactly what the babies would be (all pastel het pieds), while if you put her to a tripe gene male, there would be a lot more diversity (and uncertainty) in the clutch. (And it's a good excuse to buy a new snake ;))

Obviously, it depends on what you like and want. I just think it would be more fun and exciting to not know what the babies would look like before they hatched out. Also, if it's your first time breeding, it may be more difficult to sell hatchlings that are het pied if you aren't an established breeder.

I agree half the fun is seeing what you get. Hmm. ..Now what to buy. ..

She's a gorgeous super pastel! And I'd go triple gene as well. Think of your favorite morphs that you would want to add pastel to :)

I would definitely pick up a triple gene male out of your options Good luck finding one, if I was in that position I would go crazy because there's so many options

I vote triple gene male where one gene is paste. Then you could throw some super pastel + whatever else.

True. I'm going to have my eyes peeled for something. I want to buy a couple more females too but I think I'll set aside $600-700 for a male. Maybe more if I found the right one.
