Wheezing in baby ball python

I got my son a baby ball python at the reptile expo yesterday. This morning he was wheezing and looks like he has retractions when breathing. He was fine yesterday. Very active. No mucous. What do I do? Increase temp? Increase humidity? Does he need to go to the vet? Please help.

Yes, bump up temps to simulate a fever, bump up humidity so his mucous stays moist and can be expelled more easily, and make a vet appointment.

What is his enclosure like? Hot side, cool, side, humidity, etc?

when they breathe heavily and are considering to maybe hiss at you, basically all of them can make some sound.

is there clicking or something that sounds like bubbles in there? rattling?

Where did you get him? What substrate is he on?
