Anyone know where I can buy a baby yellow?
I live in Florida, have Googled, etc, and the only thing I can come up with is Backwaterreptiles.com, and they have a horrible reputation. Chances are that I would get sent a turtle instead of a baby yellow anaconda from them.

Does anyone know where in Florida, or anyone that breeds them?

I was thinking about driving to Orlando for Repticon next weekend and hoping one of the vendors there will have some, but I think that they will only have adults for show if nothing else.

As far I as know, yellow Anacondas are a no go in Florida. I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that yellows and burms were no longer legal in the state. Only previous owners who acquired permits and had their animals tagged before the laws changed could keep them. Hopefully someone can chime in with more info.

Yeah Yellows are "report on sight" in Florida. Also Burmese Python.

Stop trying to harsh his mellow. Notaeus are fine so long as you can find a breeder in state - which is why the OP started this thread, I reckon. There seems to be confusion somewhere between the new additions to the lacey act and Florida's conditional reptiles. Notaeus, molurus and sebae were added to the lacey act - they can no longer pass state lines. Within states, they can be bought and sold unless specifically legislated against via state, county, community, etc laws.

Regulations for Conditional Snakes and Lizards

The following species are now listed as conditional snakes and lizards:

Indian or Burmese python (Python molurus)
    Reticulated python (Python reticulatus)
    Northern African python (Python sebae)
    Southern African python (Python natalensis)
    Amethystine python (Morelia amethistinus)
    Scrub python (Morelia kinghorni)
    Green anaconda (Eunectes murinus)
    Nile monitor (Varanus niloticus)

Conditional reptiles are not allowed to be acquired for personal possession. Reptile dealers, public exhibitors, researchers and nuisance trappers may apply for a permit to import or possess conditional snakes and lizards. Individuals that possessed of any of these reptile species as personal pets and that were properly licensed under a Reptile of Concern license before July 1, 2010 may keep their animal and must maintain a valid Reptile of Concern license for the remainder of the animal's life.

I don't know, I've been looking here for over a year for a baby male. I can tell you that here in FL only greens are illegal to own (they are conditional species). You can own a yellow as long as you get it within the state due to the Lacey act. I have done nothing but research FL laws, so if you've got questions PM me! Also, I have a local friend with a male whom might bring him over because his female is not able to have babies. If that happens I'll be getting my class 3 and you can buy one of my babies :D
