    Messy python?
It's not like python poop is ever going to be pleasant to deal with, but my bumblebee Jack takes it to a whole new level. If he had fingers, I'd swear he was fingerpainting with the stuff. Nigel and Stan will occasionally drop one between a hide and the side of the tub, but it's still more or less in one place. Jack's is everywhere, but not liquid or loose. He just can't seem to help spreading it around. Is this normal?

I don't know. I've come to the conclusion that snakes are just weird with their poop habits. My guys apparently bury theirs. I've NEVER seen Hercules burrow under his paper towels, but the poop is always under them. Likewise, there's always a three inch layer of substrate on top of Atlas'.

Apparently it's more satisfying if it's impossible to clean up.

Sometimes you'll get a wall artist. Nessie has done that to me twice. and no matter how you scrub, you can always barely see the outline of their masterpieces....

Archimedes, the quote at the bottom of your signature reminded me that I actually heard the little slob preparing his "art materials" last night ... louder than any of my dogs could ever do (and probably some humans)! Jack's a mess all the way around.

My bumblebee used to do the same thing! He out grew it though thank goodness! Hopefully yours will too! 😊

LOL, this is a fun thread! None of my snakes are painters, but one of my bearded dragons is a different story. Nine times out of ten, Deadpool will leave me his Mona Lisa.

What's ironic is that I'm the oil painter of the household.
