I am going to have to slow down my snake acquiring for a bit - not stop, just slow down - but there are definitely a couple of more kingsnakes on The List. Like, right now, a Brooks and an aberrant black and white California.

That's what I want a black and white Cali with vertical stripe. The locality might not actually be Cali BC I think verts don't come from that area. I'm not 100% sure but I think the vertical stripes are a locality gene, that I just can't remember where from.

The vertical stripes are from Cali, they are from a specific area of California. Don't remember the name but there is a valley next to a mountain(very specific I know) where they originate.

The stripers actually have a fairly large range in Southern Southern California with both a brown with yellow stripe coastal version and a black with white stripe desert phase. There is also overlap between the banded phases in both of the above's ranges and tons of interbreeding in captivity. There is NO way to know just by looks what genes a CalKing is carrying.
