    Blitz Vs. Trick Differences
    Blitz vs. Trick
Before I worked with these genes, it was hard for me to tell the difference. However, now that I have them both here and can compare I see a subtle but definite variation in both the patterns and colors of the Trick/Blitz genes. The Trick is darker, or at least not as bright, and has a dirty granite type effect in their patterns while the blitz is vibrant with more blushing, a brighter color, and less granite throughout the pattern.

Here is some comparison shots of our Blitz male (right) vs. Trick female (left). What do you guys think? My preference falls with the Blitz due to the brighter, more vibrant, coloration but they are both beautiful morphs to work with. I am excited to see what Major League Reptiles produces this year since he has several clutches combining the two together. I think we could be in for an exciting combination of the two! That'll help determine my plans with these two projects within my collection.

All I can think of with this picture is...."Shoot her!"

Blitz Male...lose the contrast when you separate them

Wow! Looking at the comparison pictures, I think I'm with you. I love the blushing and brighter pattern of your Blitz male. But they're both stunning!

Can't the same variations be found on all kinds of morphs like Pastels, Lessers, Enchi's, etc? I could see if they consistently produced offspring that looked the same, but even then, couldn't that come down to two different "lines" of the same morph?

Do they make distinctly different combos?

    Beautiful snakes by the way...:gj:

I think they are the same morph just like Lesser and Butter. You should pair them to see if you hit the super. That would be the true test.

I'm not convinced one way or the other at this point. They may be a variation on the same gene, or they may be alleic, or they may not be related at all. Brant over at MLR will have several Trick X Blitz clutches in the next month or two and I am excited about the results.
